Nearly every fraternity has a group of unmotivated guys. For some reason or another, these guys are brothers in the fraternity, but just aren’t very interested in coming around the chapter house much. The fraternity ends up spending a lot of time and energy trying to get these guys to attend fraternity functions, with little success.
Don’t fall into this trap!
Sure, it would be fantastic if all the brothers in the fraternity came to every event the fraternity had. But focusing too much effort on these guys is a waste of valuable chapter resources.
It is imperative that the fraternity leadership team focuses on the guys who do attend, instead of the guys who don’t. The funny thing is, the best way to get the unmotivated guys back to the house is by making sure that the guys who are active in the fraternity are getting the most out of the chapter.
If the active guys are having the time of their life, and the fraternity is the reason why, the unmotivated guys will slowly start coming by the house more because they will not want to miss all the fun.
If this happens, it will be a strong testament as to the quality of the leadership team and the initiatives they are implementing.
