Fraternity Fundraising IdeasImagine what your fraternity could do with another $5,000 to $10,000.  By implementing the following fraternity fundraising ideas – your fraternity can easily exceed that amount!

For example, let’s say your fraternity has 30 brothers. If your fraternity completes the ten fraternity fundraising ideas detailed below, your fraternity could earn $9,000 or more.

10 Fraternity Fundraising Ideas

10. Golf Tournament

Your first fraternity fundraiser would be a golf tournament fundraiser. You should be able to fund-raise an easy $1,250 from this event.  And don’t forget that this fraternity fundraiser will be a fantastic time.  To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article — Fraternity Golf Tournament Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could be $1,250

9. Fraternity Room Decoration

Your next fraternity fundraiser needs to be dedicating rooms in the fraternity house. Let’s say your house is small, and only has 12 rooms. And let’s say your fraternity alumni are cheap, and only come up with $50 a room. You would still have a fraternity fundraiser that would earn the fraternity $600 with very minimal effort. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Dedicating Fraternity Rooms Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $1,850

8. Recycling Program

Your next fraternity fundraiser is starting a recycling program. Recycling the cans from a case of beer will earn a fraternity about $0.50. I have no idea how many cases of beer (and coke) a fraternity will go through in a year, but I figure it will be a lot. Let’s be conservative and say that your fraternity can fund-raise $300 using this program.  Again – this is very easy money but can get messy. Make this a pledge fundraiser. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Recycling Cans Fraternity Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $2,150

7. Fraternity Designated Driver Program

Your next fraternity fundraiser is implementing a fraternity designated driver program. This program will have the pledges take care of the fraternity’s drunks. All the brothers will chip in for this program. If each brother chips in $20 a semester for this program, this program will earn the pledge class $1,200. This will be a bargain for the fraternity brothers – because they will no longer have to walk home, take taxis or drive home drunk. And don’t forget that you really can’t put a price on saving a brother’s life. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Designed Driver Fraternity Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $3,350

6. Vending Machine

Your next fraternity fundraiser needs to be installing a drink machine in the fraternity house. Again – going conservative – let’s say the house sells 200 cokes a month. That will create a fraternity fundraiser that will earn $50 a month, or $600 a year. Again, make this a pledge class fundraiser. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Drink Machine Fraternity Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $3,950

5. Basketball Tournament

Your next fraternity fundraiser will be putting on a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Granted, this isn’t that exciting of a fundraiser – but is a hell of a lot of fun. This fundraiser will probably generate $150 (assuming your fraternity can find 15 teams to play – should be no problem). To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Basketball Fraternity Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $4,100

4. Advertising on Your Fraternity’s Site

Your next fraternity fundraiser will be adding ads to your fraternity website. This fundraiser will not generate a lot of cash for the fraternity, but will take no effort at all. Let’s assume this fundraiser will bring in $100 a year. Again, not much, but it is a few cases of beer. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Fraternity Website Fraternity Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $4,200

3. Selling Trash Bags… Yes, Trash Bags

Your next fraternity fundraiser involves selling trash bags. I know – it sounds stupid – but it is a fantastic fraternity fundraiser. During rainy football games, you can have your brothers or pledges sell trash bags to fans as they are walking into the stadium. The drunken fools who didn’t bring rain gear will be happy to fork over a few bucks for a bag to keep them dry. This fundraiser can net a fraternity several hundred bucks in a quick hour. However, let’s be conservative and say you can earn $300. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Fraternity Football Game Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $4,500

2. Sell Beads at a Mardi Gras Party

Your next fraternity fundraiser is probably the most fun. Be sure to sell beads during your Mardi Gras party. This fundraiser should be able to net an easy $500. It could make much more depending on the size of your party. By having a fraternity fundraiser that is a great time you kill two birds with one stone. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Mardi Gras Party.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $5,000

1. A Raffle

Your next fraternity fundraiser is your big one. This fundraiser can make your entire year. Your fraternity absolutely has to have a huge raffle. Our example has your fraternity at 30 brothers. If each brother can sell 20 tickets at $10 you can bring in $6,000. Make the raffle prize worth $2,000 and you have a fraternity fundraiser of $4,000. To learn more, read my fraternity fundraising article – Fraternity Raffle Fundraiser.

Your total fraternity fundraising earnings could now be $9,000

This is a lot fundraising, but really not a lot of work. $9,000 of fraternity fundraising is a remarkable sum for our fraternity of 30 brothers. Your fraternity can have a lot of good times for $9,000. Obviously, more brothers means more fundraising potential, and remember all the numbers we used are conservative.

Finally – read my article on eliminating pledge dues. Several of these fraternity fundraisers are perfect for fraternity pledge classes.
