In my newsletter last week, I mentioned some strategies about building your list for fraternity recruitment. I am getting a lot of questions asking me to describe in more detail what I am talking about with the list – so I thought I’d share with everyone.
Your fraternity needs to build a master list of all the guys who are potential new members in your fraternity.
The first step of the list is to make it grow. That means your brothers need to be meeting new people, and adding their contact information to the list.
The next step is making sure those guys aren’t forgotten. Since their information is stored in one central location, it is easy to contact them to let them know about upcoming social events. It is also has to be a focus to be continually recruiting these guys and developing those relationships.
If you are doing those two steps, then the final step is focusing on improving your conversion rate.
Right now, a certain percentage of the guys on your list will join your fraternity. If you grow the list, simple math tells you that you should get more guys to join if you can keep the same conversion rate.
However, if you can improve your conversion rate, that is when you can turn a good fraternity into a great one.
That’s it. It is a very simple concept. The list ensures that your fraternity remains focused, and will help you during recruitment tremendously.
