I am a recent alumnus of a fraternity that is in the early stages of colonizing with an international fraternity. The local had been around for 10-15 years before the start of colonization. The colony does not have huge support from local alumni, who will be grandfathered in as members of the international fraternity. In order to advance to the next stage of colonization, a housing corporation needs to be formed. This task fell to me as an interested party and recent alumnus. I do not have much if any support from the other local alumni, whom the corporation must be made up of. How do I raise the capital needed to start the corporation so colonization may advance, and how do we then raise the funds needed to have a nest egg for a house?
